As our project pipeline continues to grow across Western Australia, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Contract Administrators who are passionate about commercial excellence, stakeholder management and delivering successful project outcomes.

Job Description

About the Opportunity

As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for the commercial administration of the project, including head contract administration, subcontract management, procurement coordination and commercial reporting. You will work closely with the Project Manager and broader leadership team to ensure contractual obligations are met, commercial risks are managed and project outcomes are maximised.

The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting contractual entitlements, managing subcontractor relationships, supporting procurement activities and maintaining accurate project reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

You are a commercially minded construction professional who enjoys analysing contract requirements, negotiating favourable outcomes and building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders. You are highly organised, proactive and thrive in a fast-paced project environment where attention to detail and commercial awareness are critical to project success.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience within the construction industry including contracts administration experience on major projects.
  • Experience as a Contract Administrator on commercial, civil, government or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration principles, procurement processes and subcontract management.
  • Experience managing variations, progress claims, contractual correspondence and subcontractor claims.
  • Sound commercial acumen with the ability to identify and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational capability.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a project delivery team while managing competing priorities

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Administering head contracts, subcontracts and project procurements.
  • Managing variations, progress claims, extensions of time and contractual correspondence.
  • Supporting subcontract procurement, tender evaluations and contract award processes.
  • Monitoring contractual obligations and protecting project entitlements. 
  • Assisting with the preparation of client reports, forecasts and commercial reporting. 
  • Managing subcontractor payment claims, variations and contractual matters.
  • Preparing monthly forecasts, cash flow reporting and cost-to-complete assessments.
  • Maintaining project registers, commercial records and contract documentation.
  • Identifying contractual risks and opportunities and escalating matters appropriately to project leadership.
