We are seeking a Contract Administrator to support the delivery of a major construction project in Exmouth, with the role based in Perth. This is a permanent, ongoing position offering long‑term stability and the opportunity to be involved across the full project lifecycle.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and commercial team, providing contract administration support in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the end‑to‑end administration of the head contract and all subcontract packages from procurement through to project completion
Support preparation and management of trade packages, tender enquiries and subcontract awards
Assist in managing variations, extensions of time, progress claims and contractual correspondence in line with contract requirements
Prepare and issue contractual notices, correspondence and supporting documentation under direction from senior team members
Track commitments, costs and assist with monthly cost reporting, forecasting and cashflow updates
Assess and process subcontractor payment claims, variations and final accounts in accordance with subcontract terms
Maintain accurate contract registers, procurement schedules and commercial records
Support identification, assessment and management of commercial risks and opportunities
Liaise with site teams, project managers and commercial staff to support effective project delivery
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, Security of Payment legislation and statutory requirements
Assist with audit readiness, record keeping and reporting as required
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Contract Administrator with experience supporting the commercial delivery of construction projects
Good working knowledge of head contracts, subcontract administration and procurement processes
Able to manage variations, progress claims and contract correspondence with guidance from senior team members
Well organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Clear communicator who works well with project managers, site teams and commercial colleagues
Proactive and collaborative, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar (or equivalent industry experience)
Sound understanding of contract administration principles and commercial construction practices
Experience supporting projects from procurement through to completion
