Sitzler is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to join our team in a FIFO role in the Northern Territory. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects. This position is responsible for end‑to‑end contract administration, including management of head contracts and subcontract packages, oversight of variations, progress claims and commercial reporting, and working closely with project leadership to protect value, manage risk and drive strong commercial outcomes across the full project lifecycle.

About the role
Play a key role in the successful delivery of a remote construction project in a FIFO 3:1 roster, providing consistent on‑site commercial leadership
Work closely with Project Managers and the wider leadership team to support commercial decision‑making in a remote project setting, while providing guidance and oversight to Contract Administrators on site
Key responsibilities
Manage the administration of head contracts in accordance with contractual requirements, timeframes and procedures
Lead the preparation and submission of progress claims, variations, delay claims and other contractual entitlements
Oversee subcontract procurement, including tendering, negotiation, award and execution of subcontract agreements
Administer subcontract packages, including assessment of claims, variations, extensions of time and final accounts
Provide day‑to‑day leadership, mentoring and support to Contract Administrators, ensuring consistency and compliance in contract administration practices
Ensure all contractual notices and correspondence are issued accurately and within required timeframes
Monitor and manage commercial risk, protecting contractual position and maximising value recovery on remote projects
Provide accurate commercial reporting, forecasting and cost‑to‑complete analysis
Support cash flow management through timely claims and payment tracking
Maintain contract registers, procurement schedules and commercial documentation
Work collaboratively with site teams, consultants, clients and subcontractors to resolve contractual issues
Ensure compliance with legislative, contractual and corporate requirements, including Security of Payment obligations

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Defence Security Clearance (DCAC)
Recognised Diploma or Degree or minimum of 7 years in the construction industry with middle level experience on major projects
Nationally Recognised Construction Induction (White card)
Drivers Licence
Ability to work effectively in a remote FIFO environment with a high level of autonomy
Skills and Experience
Considered necessary to do the job effectively:
Complete understanding of: Construction materials and methods, contract law, management skills, and risk management and negotiation skills
Sound knowledge of: Contract administration principles and procedures, managing time and resources effectively
Good verbal communication skills, ability to write clearly and concisely
High level of attention to detail
Minimum of 7 years in the construction industry with middle level experience on major projects, and as a Contract Administrator for 5 years
